Cooler mornings signal Autumn’s return,

Tree leaves slowly shifting coats of colors

Green fading into yellows, reds and rusts,

What mysteries will this season bring?

Will new friends enter into our lives?

What wisdom will engage our thoughts?

When will our turmoil start to end?

Only as time passes will answers appear.

Pumpkins and gourds resplendent now

Blooms of flowers fading and leaving,

Each season brings its own intrigue

With changes coming for us to decipher.

A time to look inward where souls reside

Preparing for new growth within ourselves,

Autumn will soon become winter’s cold

Awaiting arrival of spring’s new visions.
