Life eternally with God
Now more than ever do we get to see the intricate details of peoples lives.
Through social media, we get to see all kinds of the weddings.
And the list can go on for days of the many things that we tend to show off.
We get all the latest celebrity news delivered to us in a matter of a second.
And with all this greatness flashed right before our eyes we become blind to simple fact that we are alive.
We get the chance of a lifetime.
The chance at eternal life.
Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by on another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding. — 2 Corinthians 10:12
No where in the Bible does it say we’re going to be rich.
Going to be married.
Going to be famous.
Going to have that deluxe apartment in the sky.
I already know what you’re thinking.
“Well great I’ll never be able to have or to do all things my heart desires.”
You’re right. He doesn’t promise that, but He does promise greater things.
God promised that if we search for Him we will find Him (Deuteronomy 4:29).
God promised that His love will never fail (1 Chronicles 16:34).
God promised salvation to all who believe in His Son (Romans 1:16–17).
Jesus promised eternal life to those who trust Him (John 4:14).
Jesus promised that He will return for us (John 14:2–3).
These are just few promises that are made, and we are only here in a blink of an eye.
That’s why we should try our best to enjoy every second of it.
Grieve for a second.
Celebrate every second.
Hurt for a second.
But be sure get back up in a second.
And with every second, “let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord”.
