I’ve recently become a personal-growth coach, and one of the concepts that I teach is how to change your mindset.
So when I stumbled upon this quote from Byron Katie on Brooke Castillo’s, The Life Coach School podcast, I was in complete awe.
I absolutely LOVED this quote. I mean- it ENTIRELY has to do with the way that you choose to think consciously.
You can choose to think that the world is against you with every negative situation. OR- you can choose to think that every experience can teach you something.
So, you can choose to think, ‘what purpose can this experience serve me in a way where I can grow,’ and think of it from a positive perspective.
OR you can choose to think from a negative mindset and be upset about it.
I mean, don’t get me wrong- really shitty experiences can have us questioning on ‘why did this happening to me?’ far before, ‘what is this trying to teach me?’
And by all means- lean into those feelings because it is human nature.
And it certainly doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make the experience right or wrong.
But in the end; YOU ultimately make the conscious choice of how you get to think of it and then, therefore, respond to it.
For someone like me who loves learning about and teaching personal-growth, this quote and insight is just pure GENIUS to me.
Not only is it genius, but it’s POWERFUL too. Because it ultimately leaves it to us to control how our mind works and how we can respond to any situation in a way that benefits us.
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what your circumstances are right now, ANYONE can learn how to think with this mindset.
Anyone can learn how to take their power back.
To live where you can not only learn, but grow powerfully from each experience too.
