Day 11 of the Touch with Good challenge

One of the best parts of working as a designer is I get the privilege to be involved with amazing inspiring people and bring their ideas into vision.

Such an example was my lovely friend Katya Georgieva and her project Touch with Good/ kindness (originally in Bulgarian: Докосни с добро). The project is dedicated to sharing the stories of genuine acts of kindness we have experienced from other people, and thus inspiring for MORE kindness in the world and making it a better place.

She got inspiration from the wisdom:

When you do kindness, keep silent. When you receive kindness — tell everyone.

With the new year 2018 Katya started a viral challenge to share such stories 20 days in a row, and somehow… I got “infected”.

So here is my…

Day 11 of the Touch with Good challenge

Be it communistic or not, International Women’s Day (celebrated on 8th March) doubtlessly sets spirits high with the fresh flowers presented as a sign of appreciation to ladies.

A long day was ahead of me, filled with social contacts and roaming around the city, and even though I left home with the good intention of getting a flower for mom, I prefer not carrying it all over the place with me and supply with it only on my way back home.

All great, but before I even noticed, the day rolled by, darkness fell, and the flower vendors had already left. It had rained and I was fast-pacing to the underground station, taking wide steps through the rain puddles. The thought of getting away without the flower was just making itself comfortable in my mind when I almost landed on a late lad behind the corner!

“Hello, happy 8th March!”, the lad greeted cheerfully. “Have you got a flower yet?” — and before he waited for an answer to come, smiling, he handed me a large pink flower adorned with a ribbon, with the words: “Here you are, it’s free!”

He had at least several more in his hands. Apparently, these were the flowers he hadn’t managed selling during the day. I continued my way with a notedly improved mood, and the young man continued presenting flowers and smiles to the ladies after me 🙂 ❤

In front of my place, my boyfriend and I ran into each other.
“Who did you get this flower from?”, he inquired.
“From a really cool guy!”, I replied with a grin like a Cheshire cat 🙂 It was the solemn truth!
