Pearl gray skies on the horizon

No sunshine present in this day,

Snowflakes might eventually fall

Turning Earth white, matching our sky.

Polar vortex coming this way

Cold air swirling in its path,

Nature’s presence being felt

Changing guises as it comes.

Weather is like our human thoughts

Coming and going, but always present.

What seems solid then disappears,

Gone, but hovering in our midst.

Weather alters immediate surroundings

With many different and varied guises,

Thoughts determine our inner feelings

With their changing forms and guises.
