Emptiness felt within my being

Wondering why I feel it here,

“Empty of what”? I ask myself,

How shall this emptiness be filled?

Perhaps renewed feelings of love

Love more deeply for all beings,

Stronger compassion to be felt

For those invisibly passing by.

Eyes wide open, observing what’s here,

So many people conveniently ignored,

Knowing they are not really different

But all fully human, just as I am.

Opening my heart to every being here

No one a stranger, accepting all fully,

Sacred beings, every one of them

Loving them deeply within my heart.
