Start accepting and contrasting.

Have you wasted your life complaining about not having enough? Not doing enough? Not experiencing enough?

Have you wasted time comparing yourself to an old classmate via Instagram or Facebook? Oh, look at him on his fancy new motorcycle, look at her getting married and having children.

Well I know I sure do, or shall I say, did. Either way, I know I do it way less than when I have in the past.

Wants

If you want something you have to go get it.

No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

You want something to eat?

Well go downstairs and make you something to eat.

Do you want a brand new house?

You have to go to work, and stop complaining about working those extra hours in order to afford it.

Even if you’re a member of the 1% club in the world you still have to at least speak something into existence.

But for the rest of us 99% people, we have to actually go out and work for what we want.

Needs

I get it. We’re human and we want things. All the must-haves. All the doohickeys. All the bells and whistles.

But your needs surpass your wants any day of the week.

You need to drink water in order to survive.

You need sleep in order to survive.

You need food in order to survive.

Guess what. You’re able to obtain those needs, so that means you lived another day to go after something that you’ve always wanted.

But first, you need to re-evaluate those wants.

Priorities

If you truly want to lose that extra fat on your frame. Reevaluating what you eat and how often you choose to workout is the first thing to look at.

If you chose to consume the same kind of food and the same amount of food every day, you DO NOT have room to complain or compare yourself to someone else.

If you aren’t at the body size you feel is ideal yet, think to yourself that that just means you have more weight to carry when you go to lift weights for the day. So that means you will burn fat quicker.

If I want to be able to travel the world with my family one day, but if I’m allocating my money in other departments I feel are more necessary I can’t complain. Especially, when I choose to spend my money on frivolous unnecessary things. I DO NOT have room to complain or compare myself to others.

If I can’t go on that dream family vacation yet that just means I can have a nice family day at the water park and a staycation. All while I’m saving money for that dream destination.

Choices

Ultimately, God has chosen to give us life.

Very different lives.

So please, I’m begging you please, don’t waste a second of it complaining or comparing yourself to another.

I’m going to die one day. You’re going to die one day.

The part that gets me is we don’t know when.

And I promise you once that begins to sink in, I mean really dives deep in your soul, you will find something better to do with your time.

There’s a kid waiting to be played with.

An idea that needs to be brought to fruition.

An elderly person waiting to share a cup of coffee with.

So why don’t you go and do it?

I’m positive you will thank me later if you do.

A negative mind will never give you a positive life. — Ziad K. Abdelnour
