Water can occur in three phases: liquid, solid, or gas. But what if I told you there was a 4th phase to water that’s rarely talked about. In terms of benefits to you and your health, this 4th water is capable of tackling a wide range of health problems with astounding results!

When you have this piece of the puzzle in your toolbox it changes everything and, nope, it’s not holy water. This is not H20 but rather H302 — it’s more alkaline, dense, and thicker than regular water. It’s actually alive and even holds a negative charge much in the same way that a battery does. To make life possible, this 4th phase water is already inside YOU!

This type of water isn’t the same as the water we drink from a plastic bottle. This water becomes highly-organized and appears in abundance inside most of your cells, even our extracellular tissues are filled with it.

Let’s first do the basics ..

The average adult is thought to be made up of 50–65% water, with the percentage of water in infants being much higher, typically around 75%. Most medical students learn that water is just a background carrier to more important chemicals and bacteria. But water is central to everything the body does, and in relation, everything the cell does.

Dr. Gerald Pollack, a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, carried out extensive experiments on this 4th phase of water which uncovered some remarkable findings. One experiment showed that the water molecules acted like telephones to carry messages throughout the body. Dr. Pollack’s team also discovered that this type of water has the ability to exclude things it doesn’t like, even small molecules. Given this unique property, it’s sometimes referred to as “exclusion zone water” or EZ water for short. The negative charge found in EZ water helps form cellular energy.

Are you getting this bit, it’s kinda important. 

Your body is made up mostly of EZ water and that water is very much alive! It takes what it needs and excludes what it doesn’t. It then sends signals around your body creating enough energy to keep your body moving throughout the day!

A key ingredient for creating EZ water is light (who knew?) whether in the form of visible light, ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths or infrared wavelengths that we are surrounded by all the time. If the goal is to maintain wellness or recover from a serious illness, it’s important to understand that energy comes from the light we absorb which in turn affects the cells.

Laser therapy can help increase EZ water by penetrating the cells. In doing so, some laser therapy treatments have also been shown to reduce pain and inflammation which can help shorten healing time in muscles, ligaments, and bones.

Infrared light is the most powerful, particularly at wavelengths of approximately three micrometers. Hence the reason infrared sauna may prove helpful because the cells in the body are deeply penetrated by infrared energy. This, in turn, helps build EZ water. The same can be said for spending time in the sun, although to get the full benefits of natural sunlight you need to step outside rather than sit behind a glass window. Glass will filter out much of the natural light spectrum.

The key here is sensible exposure to sunshine, obviously, we don’t want to burn. The fear surrounding natural sunshine and skin cancers is not without justification. That said, it might surprise some to know that when the use of sunblock became more widespread, skin cancer rates failed to go down. What’s up with that? Equally confusing is the fact that many skin cancers appear on parts of the body that the sun doesn’t reach.

Am I saying you should stay in the sun until your eyeballs burn out? Nope, that would be foolish. But keep in mind some of those sun blocking creams contain toxic chemicals, and anything that goes onto the skin goes into the bloodstream. Who knows, perhaps over time some of those toxic chemicals may prove to be equally problematic.

As we learned earlier, sunshine plays an important role in the way your mitochondria communicate. Increased vitamin D levels also play an important role in creating EZ water.

Personally, I try to get a skin full of sun in the morning before midday. If the afternoon sun is strong I either stay shaded or cover up with a brimmed hat for protection.

Sunlight aside, EZ water can also be found in glacial melt, but unless you have a spare iceberg in the back garden you might want to consider locating a natural deep spring. The deeper the spring the better because EZ water actually increases when under pressure.

There are now products on the market that attempt to emulate this natural process by creating something known as vortexed water. I haven’t used any of them myself so I can only speculate about their effectiveness.

Vibration also plays a role in increasing EZ water. Today vibration plates are sold which can be a useful tool to anyone standing or sitting at a desk for long periods of time. If you don’t have the spare funds for a vibration plate, a rebounding trampoline also works but to a lesser degree.

EZ water can also be extracted from living foods, which brings us neatly to the subject of juicing. Juicing is simply a way of squeezing the juice out of vegetables and fruits and then drinking the liquid.

If you are unfamiliar with this term you are in for a pleasant surprise. There are few things capable of turbocharging your health faster than juicing!

The good news is, juicing can form part of any diet. This means you can dip your big toe in the water without too much disruption. If you like it, keep going.

Done right, this process will boost your nutrient intake, as well as helping to clean out the GI tract. Over time, this can become clogged with mucus, rancid fats, undigested proteins, and parasites. I know, right? It’s nasty, but a cleaner GI tract will result in better absorption of nutrients into the cells. It’s often said “you are what you eat” but this isn’t strictly true. A more accurate description would be you are what you absorb.

To get the maximum amount of nutrients into the cells, eating large amounts of vegetables every day isn’t always sustainable. Even if it were, your poor digestive system would be working overtime to break it all down. Fortunately, juicing allows us to bypass this whole process. This makes those nutrients easier to absorb.

Keep in mind that this is a balance. We don’t want to fall into the trap of adding too much fruit. Without wanting to sound like a broken record, once the fiber is removed, fruit becomes a liquid sugar. As always, moderation is key, more so if you are dealing with a low grade fungal or bacterial infection.


There are lots of juicers on the market, some big, some small, some are affordable and some can be darn right expensive. Some are quality built and some are junk. Some juicers will outperform others and the tradeoff for doing so can be more time spent cleaning up. So before you rush out and buy a juicer, know that the absolute best juicer to buy is the one you will use. Even a top of the line juicer is useless if it sits in the cupboard because it takes too long to clean.

For sure, buying a juicer can be an investment, but owning a juicer is better than having money in the bank. There are few things in this life worth investing in more than your health — and let’s be clear, illness isn’t cheap!

Personally, I like the Omega VSJ843. As a first juicer, it’s got a decent warranty and it’s pretty simple to use. Ideally, I would have liked the excess pulp to be a little dryer, but hey, the tradeoff is that compared to some other juicers it’s relatively easy to clean. Before spending your hard earned cash, I would urge you to check out a John who runs a YouTube channel called DiscountJuicers.com. John has an unbiased passion for putting juicers through their paces. If anyone can tell you which juicer will fill your needs, it’s John.

Get this right and you can even get the kids to drink their greens! Think apples, with a hint of ginger, mixed with blueberries, celery, and lime, perhaps add a hint of fresh mint, parsley, or even kale. Huh? Relax, kale is nothing more than angry lettuce, and kids won’t even taste it.

Before dissing the kale, know that it’s loaded with thiamin, riboflavin, folate, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus. It’s also a good source of vitamins A, C, K, B6, as well as calcium, potassium, copper, and manganese. Juicing drives nutrients into the digestive system while at the same time packing a nutritional EZ punch. Compared to popping a pill can you see why the health benefits surrounding juicing are unique?

Some people run juicing alongside their current diet, and some use it as a standalone way of intermittent fasting. The trick to juicing is to make your green juice taste good and the good news is there are now hundreds of free juicing blogs to help you.


If we are talking about juicing I need to tip my hat to the subject of wheatgrass. Wheatgrass juice packs a real nutritional punch, and it’s something I used to grow when I had my tiny homestead. The vitamins and minerals found in just two ounces of freshly squeezed juice equal three pounds of organic vegetables!

Wheatgrass juice is approximately 70% crude chlorophyll which is nearly identical to the hemoglobin found in red blood cells! Chlorophyll in wheatgrass juice has been shown to increase the function of the heart, help the vascular system, the intestines, and the lungs. It’s also said to speed up blood circulation, cleanse the blood of waste, lower high blood pressure, and stimulate healthy tissue cell.

Wheatgrass is rich in vitamin K, which is essential in bone formation. Wheatgrass juice also contains 90 out of 102 vitamins, minerals, and nutrients! I know, right? It beats taking that harsh multi-vitamin.

If you can keep a houseplant alive then growing wheatgrass is totally doable. The grass grows quickly and in seven to ten days will be approximately 8” tall. Then you cut the grass and send it through a hand-cranked juicer. It takes a little more effort, but wheatgrass is another good tool to have under your belt.

Some juice bars now sell wheatgrass but it should ALWAYS be consumed fresh. There’s a wonderful book on wheatgrass written by Ann Wigmore. It’s a small, well-written book. It’s simply called “The wheatgrass book.” For me, it’s a classic.


Finally, while we are still on the topic of juicing, I’d like to give a shout out to the Gerson Therapy. It’s a natural treatment that activates the body’s extraordinary ability to heal itself. It does this through an organic, plant-based diet, raw juices, coffee enemas (yup you heard me right), and natural supplements. If I had the time to fly to Mexico, I’d make a beeline to the Gerson therapy unit. It has a reputation for helping cancer patients which is why they don’t have a base in the US.
