An Inside Job

“I want to let you in on a secret to The Secret. The shortcut to anything you want in your life is to BE and FEEL happy now! It’s the fastest way to bring money and everything else you want into your life. Focus on radiating out into the Universe those feelings of joy and happiness . . . Everything you want is an inside job! The outside world is the world of effects; it’s just the result of thoughts. Set your thoughts and frequency on Happiness.” — Rhonda Byrne

Let’s stop resisting what’s happening. Instead, let us put your belief in the fact that the universe is on our side. No eye rolling, please. I’m not saying that we need be complacent about what’s happening in our lives or in world affairs. What I am saying is that bemoaning and resisting will not change what’s already happened.

Accept What Is

When we side with the view that mistakes are non-existent — because mistakes are of the outside world and the outside world works on cause and effect — and focus on accepting what is, we can use our energy to deal with situations happening now.

But in order to focus on ‘accepting what is’, we have to trust that the universe is ‘in order’that the universe is providing ways to support us; that the lessons we’re faced with are lessons we need to learn and overcome first in order to move forward.

For a good start, let’s think of two points:

-Like attracts like. And it starts as an inside job.

Failure is a teacher. Failure is the straight road to success.

The mistakes, the setbacks, the suffering, the curve balls, these are part of the question phase; our collective failure phase as humans.

Let’s open up to the lessons of this phase.

“Our character is shaped, not through life’s easiest experiences, but during life’s toughest ones. It is during life’s most trying times that we discover who we really are and the fullness of the strength that lies within us.” — Robin Sharman

Live the question/Love the question

“. . . have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present, you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.” — Rainer Maria Rilke

I’M AN EXPERT AT NOTHING YET. I LOVE MY FAMILY AND TREASURE THE LIFE I LIVE. I FEEL BLESSED. I TRY TO DO MY PART BY WRITING ABOUT IDEAS THAT GIVE ME HOPE. I LIKE HOW THEY ‘MAKE ME FEEL’. I DECLARE MYSELF TO BE A MERE ENTHUSIAST OF POSITIVE THINKING. I HAVE STRUGGLE, NAMELY WITH TECHNOLOGY, BUT THERE TOO I’M LEARNING TO RESPECT THE QUESTIONS.
